Newest members of Troop 506 at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, GA. The campout allowed new scouts an opportunity to complete as much of the Scout rank as possible to ensure the boys were off to a quick start and learned the basics of scouting.  

Service, Merit Badge, and Rank Advancement Opportunities for all Scouts:

In addition to welcoming our new Scouts, it was an excellent opportunity for all Scouts to earn camping nights, leadership responsibilities, public speaking for campfire ceremonies and interfaith service, and practice Scout Law (Helpful, friendly...). We got to know our new scouts and welcomed then in our troop.

We participated in a fun service project at the Georgia Jack Russel Rescue. Scouts will help with a variety of projects to make life better for the pups in the foster ranch.
